Be on loop. Creative minds for a better world.

I paint solely from my imagination, without using any model (with the same method and purity as cave artists), and I believe that because of this, my style is so personal and recognisable. Consequently, my pictorial work reflects me as an artist and as a person. Inspiration is my own impulse, my need and desire to express myself, to create a new painting every time. Reality is a distant reference in my work, and I value what is processed by my imagination much more, because it allows me to express my inner world. Read more

Facing the blank canvas is what motivates Javier Ortas the most. It is also the exact moment he needs to set his creative machinery in motion, combining thematic exploration with drawing, geometry, long brushstrokes, a firm line, and chromatic freedom.
